Extending our season in style
What we love about working with Autoterm is that our diesel heater allows us to explore all year round. Our 2kw Autoterm heater uses as little as 1 litre of diesel every 10 hours.
We chose to upgrade to the comfort controller which allows us maximum flexibility when it comes to controlling the warmth. You can choose a set power level or use the thermostat to maintain a set temperature. You can also set timers to automatically turn the heater on when you need it, for example just before your morning school run.
If you need even more flexibility you can spec the optional 4G remote start module so you can start your heater from your phone.
Installed by professionals
We chose to have our heater installed at the Autoterm HQ in Wrexham. In a T4 they recommend you install the heater inside the van under the driver seat, but you can install it anywhere inside your vehicle as long as you can safely route the power cables and inlet/exhaust pipes.
Autoterm heaters are designed to work in the harshest winters and can run down to -50c. We were told that the limit is set because that is when your diesel will start to freeze, it’s not a limitation of the heater.
