OLPRO Cocoon Breeze
We’d like to thank OLPRO for hooking us up in 2020 with a Cocoon Breeze awning to review. We find it well-suited for longer breaks where you might stay on one site for 3 or more nights at a time.
The Cocoon Breeze is a drive-away awning tunnel tent design with three air beams and three support beams. Air beam awnings have fantastic wind resistance making them suitable for all but the worst of the British weather. In the rear section, we tend to use the space for storage but this is where you would use the clip-in bedroom which sleeps 5 in total, either as a single bedroom or a 2/3 split.
The front section offers a spacious living area with a large door opening on one side leading into the tunnel and onto the vehicle. On the other side, you have a large window and a smaller door to the outside.
The front of the Cocoon has two large windows and can be completely zipped out. You can also buy an extension that zips onto the front of the Cocoon if you need even more living space or a covered area outside.

OLPRO Loopo Breeze
In 2022 OLPRO sent us another awning to review, this time it was the Loopo Breeze campervan awning. We love using this awning for shorter trips such as a weekend away as it has a quicker pitch time and smaller footprint than the larger Cocoon.
The OLPRO Loopo Breeze is a freestanding drive-away awning in a tunnel tent design with two air beams and 3 support beams. The Loopo pitches away from the van rather than alongside it, with J-doors front and rear to allow access to the van without having to go through the living area.
The living area has large windows with integrated roll-up blinds. As with the Cocoon, the groundsheet is sewn in and rubbed, reducing the risk of rain running into the living area. At the end of the awning, there is a large zip door that can open onto king poles (which are included). There is an additional door on one side which has a built-in storm porch.
As with all OLPRO awnings we strongly recommend purchasing the optional footprint, and we also have the optional carpet. There is also a 2-berth inner tent available if you need extra sleeping areas, making this another good campervan awning option for vans without pop-tops.

OLPRO Hive Poled
T4 Family were invited back as brand ambassadors In 2023 and this time it was the OLPRO Hive Poled on review. We love this awning for its compact pack size and large living space with signature roof light windows.
The OLPRO Hive is a freestanding drive-away awning with a hexagonal tent design and a rear bedroom area that sleeps two, making it a great choice for van families that don’t have a poptop on their vehicle. The roof of the main living space is held in place by three large poles forming a hexagon shape. The awning takes between 20 and 30 minutes to pitch.
The living area has large windows on three sides, the other three sides are the front door, the door to the tunnel, and the bedroom area. The showcase feature of the OLPRO Hive Poled has to be the six roof light windows, making this awning feel bright and open with a ceiling height much taller than the Cocoon or Loopo.
The awning tunnel attaches using the sewn-in awning strip, or you can strap it over your vehicle using the straps included. The tunnel has J-doors to the front and rear allowing you to access your vehicle without the need to walk through the awning. Optional extras include a fitted carpet and a footprint that we thoroughly recommend to protect your awning and keep your feet warm in the evenings.
