RoofBunk
When we bought our T5 the challenge was always going to be "How do you build a travels 5, sleeps 5 camper without a poptop?". The answer, a roof tent, or more specifically a RoofBunk Explorer 3-berth roof tent.
T4 Family are delighted to be able to work with RoofBunk as brand ambassadors for the Explorer soft shell roof tent, and when you use the code T4FAMILY on the RoofBunk website you'll get an extra discount.
Explorer Soft Shell Roof Tent
Weighing in at just under 50kg, the Explorer roof tent can be fitted to almost any vehicle with roof bars and sleeps 3/4 people on a generously sized built-in mattress.
The main body of the tent is breathable polycotton waterproof to 3000mm, and the rainfly is 600D Oxford polyester waterproof to 5000mm, making the RoofBunk Explorer 3-5 times more waterproof than a typical ground tent.
The telescopic ladder is fully adjustable up to 230cm, making it perfect for installation on a VW Transporter or similarly sized van. The built-in canopy covers the entrance area to prevent rain from getting in, and you can extend your living area with the optional zip-in annexe extension which is available in two height options. The Explorer is ready for all weather and can handle wind speeds of up to 40mph (Gale Force 8).

Roamer Hard Shell Roof Tent
The Roamer is a premium quality hard shell roof tent designed to sleep 2/3 people in comfort.
At 65kg it is best suited to larger vehicles and can be fitted to good quality roof bars with ease. The shell is constructed from durable ABS material which is more flexible and impact resistant than other fibreglass-based models that are available. The sides use the same breathable poly-cotton blend as the Explorer which means the sides are 3 times more waterproof than a traditional ground tent, and the roof section is completely watertight.
The Roamer has three opening door sections so you can enter from either side or the rear, allowing for a variety of configurations depending on your needs. The hard shell design also allows room for you to store you bedding inside the RoofBunk when not in use, saving space inside your vehicle.
